My Expectation for My Hospitality Class

I want to learn how to give people full customer service. How to run a hotels and kitchen area. I want to learn everything that there is to know about kitchens, hotels, skills that will be required and of course, I want to get paid for this. Because I really enjoy this type of work. And I'm sure, that I will gain more knowledge just from taking class. And hope to have my own business some day.

Career World "A Growing Field"

I read about crops, farming and farmers options and opinions. One of the Farmers named John Christian, he has his own greenhouse and farm which is located in Canterbury, Conn. His is job is to take care of the plants make sure they have water, there is no pest and no weeds. When his goes to the farm in the morning he also has to let the chickens out of the henhouse. John is mostly grows greens. But in the winter time he makes soap, from his organic herb. And then sells them on the market. In the past year, organic farms acres had grown. And more and more people are getting interested in the organic field. There all several programs that help you plan out what to do when you are going to start your own garden and stuff like that. There is another person that is interested in organic growing. Her name is Holly Markham, she is studying to become a certified farmer. And plans to go to school in London. To do some experiments due to climate changes. Then, come back to the states and start her own farming with her mother and sister-in-law.

Career World "Caring for the Big Guys"

Well this article that I read was about Veterinaries working with large Animal’s. Such as horses, cows and other large animals. Much of that care involves vaccinating livestock but veterinarians also tend to treat animals with wounds, diagnose diseases, treat sick animals, also with animals that have a difficult time giving birth. When working with a large animal you have to know how to maintain a 1,000 pound patient without hurting yourself or the animal it takes lots of skills and strength to maintain an animal and never put your guard down. Large Animal Veterinarian you have to LOVE animals and excel in science also loves to be in all sorts of whether such as (rain, mud, snow, or hot, humid weather). Bob Rednour is an animal doctor. He graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He also practiced with fellow veterinarian Meg Johnson. And have spent time around large animals either living on a ranch or working on one. Also these Veterinarian treat food-producing animals’ which is some time scary because if you don’t treat the animals right you could not just danger the animal but also the human beings that eat the animal such as cows and sheep’s.

Career World "Go Deeper"

In the article that I read was about, a lady name Shannon Smith. She is an aquaculture technician. As her career, she takes care of fish and tanks at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Cali. Shannon coursework also includes water chemistry, biology, habitat design and animal health. This helped her to get a job at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California. She works eight hours a day and her income level is high, which is not bad for a year or two of hands on training. Shannon Smith says that her job fits her perfect and it never feels like work.
